These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

We use a self-hosted analytics program (matomo) so we can track information about pages visited, how people use the site, find potential problem areas, etc. Information collected includes, but is not limited to, your web browser, your general geographic region, time and date of your visit, pages you visit and an anonymized version of your IP address. None of the information collected is personally-identifiable. We do not use cookies for tracking or analytics.

Links to third-party websites

We track clicks to outbound links on this website. Links tracked with our analytics software cannot identify individuals due to setup. Clicks to links on download pages, for instance, collect anonymized IP address information ( format), browser information and the timestamp of the click. If emergency monitoring procedures are turned on, full IP addresses are collected. However, this information is still not personally identifiable.

Software firewall

This website uses a software firewall to help prevent attacks against this website. This software is self-hosted and stores information visitors who perform suspicious or malicious actions while on this website. Information collected includes, but is not limited to, full ip address, web browser and general geographic location. This information is stored for up to 30 days, or the last 2500 records. Whichever comes first.

Who we share your data with

Outside of cases of abuse, threats or other bad behavior, your information will not be shared with anyone.  In cases of abuse, threats or other malicious behavior, available information on the bad actor may be sent to whomever we deem appropriate.

How long we retain your data

Emails sent to us are purged after 6 months.  Emergency monitoring data is stored for up to 6 months. Suspicious or malicious firewall data is stored for up to 30 days. Server-level access log information is kept for 14 days.

Server access logs

Full IP address information as well as timestamps, browser and pages visited are collected automatically by this server. This information is only available to one person, which is almost never looked at except if website problems surface. These logs are automatically deleted after 14 days.

Visitor data removal requests

Because we do not collect or store visitor email addresses on this site (see our comment policy), there is no way to verify the identity of any visitor.  As such, there is no way to request removal of personal information.

Emergency monitoring procedures

In cases of abuse or attacks on this website, we may implement additional tracking procedures to better-identify the threat. In these cases, this tracking will only be used to the extent necessary. Information available to us will be whatever a web-browser or script shares when accessing this site. The biggest difference is we will collect full IP addresses and store those temporarily.
